Generic MAX7219 Module

These modules are commonly available from many suppliers (eg, eBay) at reasonable cost. They are characterized by IN and OUT connectors at the short ends of the rectangular PCB.

Module Interconnections

Generic modules need to be oriented with the MAX7219 IC at the top and connected using short patch cables in a spiral pattern. The display is oriented with the IC at the top.
